F1 Star Daniel Ricciardo Signed with Crypto Exchange OKX

About Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Joseph Ricciardo is an Australian driver and McLaren Formula 1 team member. He was born on 1 July 1989 in Western Australia, Perth, to an Italian-Australian family. He attended Newman College high school and has been engaged in karting since the age of 9. Before joining F1, Ricciardo participated in competitions such as Formula Three and Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

He debuted at the 2011 British Grand Prix as part of the HRT team. His debut resulted from the deal between HRT and Red Bull Racing. He holds number 3 and has already made 8 Grand Prix victories in the most prestigious racing competition.

Ricciardo became a member of Toro Rosso back in 2012, shortly after the team altered its driver lineup. He spent two years in an Italian company where he drove a Ferrari-powered vehicle. In 2014, the Australian driver joined Red Bull to replace Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. After his first season in a Red Bull car, Ricciardo finished third, having three Formula One wins in Canada, Hungary, and Belgium.

The next two years brought less success for Ricciardo as he finished without a podium. He returned to the stage at the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix and clinched the third position in the championship at the 2016 Mexican Grand Prix. In the following years, he won several races, including the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2017, and the Chinese and Monaco Grand Prix in 2018. 

Soon after, Ricciardo sealed a deal with Renault and drove for the same team in 2019 and 2020. He became a part of McLaren in 2021 and still races for the popular team with a colleague, Lando Norris. He won the very first race for McLaren at the Italian Grand Prix. The end of the 2021 season was remarkable for Ricciardo as he became a member of the Order of Australia, an honor that acknowledges Australian citizens and other people for great achievements.
